Nursery Tour

Hi! Welcome to little Hudson’s nursery! We’ve worked the past few months to bring this small space to life and we are so happy with the outcome. We wanted a room that felt calming, homey, and not overcrowded. I think it has become Allen and I’s favorite room in the house! Allen did such an awesome job on the accent wall I still can’t get over it! We posted the steps of how he created the herringbone wall here. The accent wall is the shade “Silvermist” by Sherwin Williams and the other 3 walls plus the ceiling are “Snowbound” by Sherwin Williams. We love how bright and airy this space is and Silvermist is the most perfect shade of a more neutral light blue! I’m linking everything that I can below and everything else is most likely from HomeGoods. I hope this helps to give you inspiration for your nursery decor!

Hi! Love this room! Where did you get the letters for the name? And, how did you get them to stick to accent wall? Did you have to add something behind them to make them pop out?

    Thanks so much!!

Wondering the same about application. How did you get them to stick to the wall, especially with some on the wood pieces and some not?

      • brantlywyatt

We used velcro command strips to attach them to the wall where the trim is! For the letters that did not line up on a piece of the trim we actually hot glued a small piece to the back of the letter so that it would stick out like the rest of the letters! So the U, D, S & O we glued extra trim pieces to the back of the letter and put the command strips on that! I hope that makes sense!

You did an incredible job! I am creating our nursery and love your idea for the name sign! I am looking to order it now too and they have two options, MDF and Birth Wood. Which did you select?

    Thanks!

Hi there. Stumbled on your baby nursery on Pinterest and was wondering if you had a blog on how you guys did the beautiful accent wall?! Thanks!! Alex

Thank you!! The white walls are “alablaster” and the accent wall is “Silver Mist” both by Sherwin Williams 🙂

Hi! This wall is absolutely beautiful!! Can you pretty please let me know what paint colors you used? Thank you so much! 😊

Hi! I absolutely love the color of the accent wall! I purchased the color you listed (Silvermist by Sherwin Williams) but it came out to be a dark teal-green with brown undertones. Nothing like the light blue with gray undertones that I’m seeing in your nursery … Any chance this was an error and the accent wall is actually called something else? 🙂

Hi! Oh no that is so strange! No it is 100% Silvermist, we used it on an accent wall at my moms house too and it is the same color and she purchased at a different Lowe’s. Did you prime the walls before painting? That’s the only reason I could think of why it might be different, unless they mixed your batch wrong!

Is this picture edited at all? I went the sherwin williams store to find the “silver mist” and the color looks so much more green on the swatch! I love the green but I definitely thought it was more blue lol!

    • brantlywyatt

No it’s the true color! The swatch does look much more green I thought the same thing until we tried it on the wall! It’s the perfect shade! I recommend getting a sample and trying on your wall to see how it looks with the lighting in your room!
