Nursery Tour
Hi! Welcome to little Hudson’s nursery! We’ve worked the past few months to bring this small space to life and we are so happy with the outcome. We wanted a room that felt calming, homey, and not overcrowded. I think it has become Allen and I’s favorite room in the house! Allen did such an awesome job on the accent wall I still can’t get over it! We posted the steps of how he created the herringbone wall here. The accent wall is the shade “Silvermist” by Sherwin Williams and the other 3 walls plus the ceiling are “Snowbound” by Sherwin Williams. We love how bright and airy this space is and Silvermist is the most perfect shade of a more neutral light blue! I’m linking everything that I can below and everything else is most likely from HomeGoods. I hope this helps to give you inspiration for your nursery decor!

Newton Mattress (You can use code brantly_wyatt50 for $50 off)
Name Wall Sign (fonts/size we chose were Lemon 48″ & Emma 24″)
Reclining Glider (highly recommend the Babyletto recliner it is extremely comfortable! We were nervous because we didn’t get to try it out in stores before ordering but it is great)
Fiddle Leaf Tree (I have the 5ft tree but it is sitting on a box behind the chair so that it will be taller haha).
Dresser (I spray painted the hardware gold, and switched out the knobs on the top drawers, they are from Hobby Lobby. Also put these legs on the dresser instead of what came with it so that it would match the crib).

On the Hudson Allen’s name letters, I ordered the same but did you paint them? If so what color did you use and where from? My email is contact@uniquelypositive.com

Hi! Love this room! Where did you get the letters for the name? And, how did you get them to stick to accent wall? Did you have to add something behind them to make them pop out?
Thanks so much!!
Courtney
Wondering the same about application. How did you get them to stick to the wall, especially with some on the wood pieces and some not?
brantlywyatt
We used velcro command strips to attach them to the wall where the trim is! For the letters that did not line up on a piece of the trim we actually hot glued a small piece to the back of the letter so that it would stick out like the rest of the letters! So the U, D, S & O we glued extra trim pieces to the back of the letter and put the command strips on that! I hope that makes sense!

You did an incredible job! I am creating our nursery and love your idea for the name sign! I am looking to order it now too and they have two options, MDF and Birth Wood. Which did you select?
Thanks!
brantlywyatt
Thank you so much! I got the MDF 🙂

Hi! I am wondering where you got the cute dog figure on the bookshelf!
brantlywyatt
Hi! It is actually an antique I bought from a craft fair when I was a little kid for my grandpa! He used to train and raise border collies so I saw it and got it for him. Now that he has passed I thought it would be special to have in my sons room.

Hi! I absolutely love the color of the accent wall! I purchased the color you listed (Silvermist by Sherwin Williams) but it came out to be a dark teal-green with brown undertones. Nothing like the light blue with gray undertones that I’m seeing in your nursery … Any chance this was an error and the accent wall is actually called something else? 🙂
brantlywyatt
Hi! Oh no that is so strange! No it is 100% Silvermist, we used it on an accent wall at my moms house too and it is the same color and she purchased at a different Lowe’s. Did you prime the walls before painting? That’s the only reason I could think of why it might be different, unless they mixed your batch wrong!

Is this picture edited at all? I went the sherwin williams store to find the “silver mist” and the color looks so much more green on the swatch! I love the green but I definitely thought it was more blue lol!
brantlywyatt
No it’s the true color! The swatch does look much more green I thought the same thing until we tried it on the wall! It’s the perfect shade! I recommend getting a sample and trying on your wall to see how it looks with the lighting in your room!
