Nashville Travel Guide
The first time we went to Nashville was a couple of years ago when one of my best friends Missy got engaged! Nashville is a place I’ve always wanted to go to and it’s only about 5 hours away so it’s a pretty easy road trip! This year, Allen and I both had spring break on the same week so we decided to take a little vacay in Music City for a few days! There are SO many things to do, AWESOME places to eat, and always something going on. I’ve listed some of our favorites below!
Where To Stay
506 Lofts – These lofts are located right in the heart of Nashville and are right next to Broadway! Literally the perfect location! We loved staying here, each loft is so unique, and the best part is how convenient they are. I also love that they donate 5% of the proceeds to 2 local homeless ministries! So when you stay there you are providing a bed, warm meal, and a place to stay for someone in need!
Where to Eat
Nashville is FULL of amazing places to eat, and I’ve never had a bad meal when visiting. Below I’ve broken it down between brunch, lunch, and dinner spots!
Brunch
Biscuit Love– One of my favorite places! I love the Southern Benny and you HAVE to try the “Chronic bacon” and the “Bonuts”. Be prepared to wait in line but it is worth the wait!
Five Daughters Bakery–These are the BEST donuts I’ve ever had!
Frothy Monkey– Great little place for coffee!
The Southern– We ate dinner here instead of brunch, but I have heard their brunch is awesome too!
Lunch
Bar Taco–Great place for tacos and has a great patio! Dog friendly too!
Hattie B’s Hot Chicken (can go for dinner too)-This is one of my favorite places!
The Pharmacy– Amazing burgers!
Dinner
The Southern-We ate dinner here one night and loved it! Make sure to order the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer they were the BEST. We also had some of the best ribs we’ve ever had here!
Monell’s– This is a really unique place that serves homemade southern food family style! You sit at a large table with other people and there’s not a menu. They switch it up everyday but have plenty to choose from! Everything is passed around the table and you get as little or as much as you want, it’s actually fun to eat with other people you don’t know! Make sure you come hungry!
Five Points Pizza– A local favorite!
Urban Grub-We were supposed to eat here for dinner one night but we ended up cancelling because we had eaten such a late lunch! I have heard nothing but good things about Urban Grub though!
Rooftops & Desserts
L27 Rooftop Lounge-This rooftop lounge is at the top of the Westin hotel! It has a nice patio, beautiful views, and cool atmosphere!
Rare Bird Rooftop-Another great view of Nashville and a beautiful place to hang out!
LA Jackson–Rooftop on top of the Thompson Hotel
No Baked Cookie Dough– This is such a cute place that serves different flavors of COOKIE DOUGH! It’s served just like ice cream and was so good!
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream– This is such a cute and trendy place with delicious and unique ice cream!
Things to do:
Grand Ole Opry– I had always wanted to go to the Grand Ole Opry! The night we went we saw Trace Adkins and the Charlie Daniels Band, it was such a fun experience!
Broadway Street-If you want to hit the town and visit some honky tonks, Broadway street is the way to go! Every place you go will have live music! Our favorite was Luke Bryan’s new bar!
Bluebird Cafe-If you want a spot at the Bluebird Cafe you need to make reservations well in advanced because it fills up quick! All of the up-and-coming artists play here!
Country Music Hall of Fame–A huge museum dedicated to the history and preservation of country music.
Belle Meade Plantation– We went to this plantation the first time we went to Nashville! If you enjoy history you’ll like this place!
The Gulch – An area downtown with a lot of fun restaurants and shops! The famous “What Lifts You” wings mural is located here too.
12thSouth- Visiting this area is a must! Bar Taco, Frothy Monkey, No Baked, and other cool restaurants are located here. Reese Witherspoon’s store, Draper James, is located here. Some other fun stores in the area include Winky Lux, Blush Boutique, White’s Mercantile.
Walking/Bike Tours– There are tons of different walking, bike, and segway tours in Nashville. I think it would be a great way to tour the city and learn some history on a nice day!
Centennial Park & The Parthenon-Nashville’s iconic Parthenon is located here in the middle of a beautiful park!
Restoration Hardware– I know going to a furniture sounds random haha, but just trust me! 4 floors of beautiful-ness and theres a pretty restaurant on the bottom floor! Great shopping center right beside it too!
Pinewood Social-A cute and industrial bowling alley with good food too!
Top Golf-If you’ve never been to Top Golf before I recommend going for an hour or two!
We had such a fun little getaway! I love Nashville so much, you’ll never run out of things to do!
