About Me
Hi! I’m Brantly and welcome to my blog! I’m a follower of Christ, a wife, a teacher, an etsy shop owner, and a (new) blogger.
I grew up in Bentonville, AR and am currently living in Little Rock. My husband, Allen, is in his 3rd year of medical school and is hoping to become an anesthesiologist. We met our freshman year of college at the University of Arkansas (woo pig) and started dating our sophomore year. We dated for 3 years and got married in June of 2015. Allen is the most kind hearted and sweetest person I know. He is a true man of Christ and is always so patient with me. He is a hard worker and I’m SO thankful for him. Our faith is the cornerstone of our lives and although we are FAR from perfect, we strive to be more like Jesus each day and show his grace and love to others.
We do not have any kids yet, but have 2 fur babies that we’re OBSESSED with. Chloe is our miniature dachshund that’s 6 years old, and Tucker is a 2 year old border collie mix that we adopted a couple of months ago! Our dogs are definitely spoiled and we love them so much! If you follow me on instagram then you will understand how much I love my dogs by my insta-stories!
I like to spend time with my friends and family, craft, bake, spend time outdoors, and read my Bible. I’m passionate about traveling, fashion, food, and Jesus. This is my 3rd year of teaching first grade and I love it! There are definitely challenging days but knowing that you’re making a difference in these kids lives and helping them learn and grow is so rewarding. I also own an etsy shop called Chloe Layne Co. where I make glittery and customized drink-ware!
I LOVE to watch HGTV and am constantly redecorating and reorganizing my home! Joanna Gaines and all things farmhouse-y are my favorite! I’m a very organized person (my husband would say OCD) and I can’t stand for things to be out of order. I’m also a clean freak and can’t go to sleep if something is not picked up! We love to spend time outdoors either hiking, biking, or going to the lake. On the weekends I like to go to antique stores and find good deals or new projects to fix up! I started this blog as a creative outlet to share my style, recipes, DIY projects, travels, and everything else that interests me. I hope you can find some encouragement or inspiration here!
